General questions
A reassuring place to start.
Start with a complimentary conversation. We’ll listen to your concerns, learn about your loved one’s situation and explain the options—Senior Living Advisor, Senior Concierge or Home Care. You don’t need to have everything figured out before you call.
You’ll speak directly with Teodora Elez, Stembrella’s founder. She’ll take the time to understand your family, answer your questions and help you decide on a practical next step.
Our primary service areas are Etobicoke, Mississauga and Oakville. We also welcome inquiries from Toronto, Burlington, Brampton, Vaughan, Richmond Hill and surrounding GTA communities. Availability depends on the service and location; we’ll confirm this with you before arranging support.
Yes. We can review your family’s needs together and discuss adjustments to services or visit frequency. If staying at home becomes more challenging, we can also help you explore retirement living. Any changes to services, costs and scheduling are discussed with you first.
Senior Living Advisor
Guidance for your next chapter.
We help you make sense of retirement living options based on your loved one’s needs, preferences, location and budget. Support can include researching communities, preparing a shortlist, arranging tours, comparing options and guiding the transition. The final decision is always yours.
We help families explore Independent Living, Independent Living with Care, Assisted Living and Memory Care. We explain the differences and help you ask the right questions about services, costs and changing needs. Each community confirms its own care options and suitability.
Yes. We can coordinate community tours and accompany you, helping you prepare questions and understand what each residence offers. Afterwards, we can talk through your impressions and compare the options so you feel more confident about your choice.
Our Senior Living Advisor service is provided at no cost to families. We’ll explain how the advisory service works and answer any questions about compensation or community relationships before you proceed. Accommodation and care fees are set separately by the residence you choose.
Senior Concierge
Everyday support. A familiar face.
Senior Concierge offers practical, non-medical support: companionship, wellness check-ins, errands, groceries, appointment accompaniment, technology help and household coordination. We can also help organize outings, residence visits or a move. Together, we choose the tasks that would make everyday life easier.
Concierge focuses on companionship, organization and everyday tasks. Home Care provides more hands-on support, such as help with bathing, dressing and personal routines. Concierge does not provide personal care or medical treatment; if those needs arise, we’ll discuss appropriate support with your family.
Yes. We can arrange regular visits and keep an agreed family contact informed, with your loved one’s consent. Updates can cover how the visit went, tasks completed and concerns worth following up on. At launch, Concierge is personally delivered by Teodora for a consistent point of contact.
Both options can be discussed. You may need help with one appointment or prefer an ongoing schedule of visits. We’ll confirm the selected services, visit length, availability and fees with you before booking, so you know what is included.
Home Care
Personal support in the comfort of home.
Home Care can include personal care, companionship, meal preparation, medication reminders, light housekeeping and support with daily routines. We also discuss dementia support, respite and post-hospital assistance. Your care plan is based on assessed needs and caregiver availability; our services are non-medical.
Caregivers undergo a Vulnerable Sector Check and reference checks. We consider care needs, experience and personality when arranging a match, and aim for consistent caregivers whenever possible to help build familiarity and trust.
Home Care has a three-hour minimum visit. Hourly and overnight support can be discussed during your consultation, along with more extensive arrangements if needed. We’ll confirm what can be provided, the schedule and the cost before care begins.
Costs depend on the support required and the schedule. After learning about your loved one’s needs, we’ll explain the proposed care plan and fees. Start dates depend on caregiver availability and a suitable match. If your needs are urgent, contact us so we can discuss the earliest available options.
